can I recharge portable air conditionner myself ?

I have a HAIER's Portable air conditioner 9000 BTU, is not blowing cold air like it use to can I recharge it myself ? and how?(I see on the back of it have 1 black valve)

The compressor is out of Freon. this has to be replace by a trained factory technician. or if you know someone who fix air conditioners asked them to refill the compressor for you.
