Effective Preparation: Understand What To Do If Your United States Passport Gets Stolen While Traveling
We all know that during vacations, very little goes as planned. And when you're one of the unfortunate few who are faced with missing or stolen U.S. passports, it's easy to panic. However, there are things you can do in order to ensure that you obtain a new one as quickly as possible so you can continue enjoying your vacation or so you can return home with as little delay as possible.
First of all, don't panic. While it's completely understandable that you'd be stressed, these scrambled thoughts won't get you anywhere. Take a deep breath and realize that you can't change the problem, but you can work towards a quick solution.
After you've regained your thoughts, quickly contact the local United States embassy. Do not delay. If your passport gets into a criminal's hands, they can cause a lot of harm. Passports are prime targets of criminals because they are a tool of identity theft. This is an increasing problem, so if your passport got stolen, act as soon as possible.
Once you've contacted the embassy, speak with someone from the American Citizens Service department of the Consular Section. They will go about invalidating your stolen passport. This means that no one can utilize it. After this, they will tell you exactly what you need to do to get back home, from getting a new U S passport to passport pictures.
The next thing you can do is contact the local authorities if your passport was stolen. They will file an additional report. This report will be used to take legal action as well as for helping the United States embassy file a report for your stolen passport.
Make sure to give all the necessary information to the embassy that they will need in order to confirm your identity. This information includes but is not limited to your name, place and date of birth, where and when your passport was issued, as well as the passport number. Be sure to write down this information and keep it in a safe place. PLC and something..?
The speed w/ which internal timers operate is much faster than conventional time delay relay systems. For example, a typical time delay relay can produce a short delay as fast as 150 milliseconds (ms), with a reset period of 300 ms. A PLC can produce a short delay of 15 ms w/ the reset period of approximatly 15 ms. In terms of a speed difference between the 2 sytems, a PLC is roughly 13 times faster. An assembly machine using a PLC would therefor have a higher productivity rate.

May be a typo? (150ms + 300ms) / (15ms + 15ms) = 15, not too far from 13.
