so today i purchased this 9000btu air conditioner at lowes, i have installed it through a window...but it is not cooling...the instructions say that i should wait 6 hours to use if the system was laid sideways or upside down...tht way the oil can settle...well im concerned.. is this going to work? it hasnt been six hours yet... though i dont think thatll make a large difference..should i return it?

i work in an electric store that sells these, and peoiple call up all the time concerend about this. It may have just been on its side for a little bit more time than suggested in the book. so it's taking a little longer for the oil to settle. just leave it for a while. then when you turn it on, make sure you havent just got the fan on, but you actually have the cooling function on.
