Having A New Baby? These Accessories Are Very Important
If you are about to be a parent for the first time there are several things you need to prepare before the baby actually steps on this world. When preparing a room for the baby there are several things you need to look at. As a parent you need to think about from health point of view too and not just worry about toys and the look of the room even though that does matter. It is important to have toys but it is also important to have humidifiers or luftbefeuchter as they call it in German.
Why humidifiers?? During the winter tend to keep the heater on almost all day long which can cause your baby's skin some damage like rashes, irritations and dryness. Humidifiers or humidificadores in Spanish can certainly provide to be an useful equipment in a house. Warm moisture produced from humidifiers keeps the air warm, which means you don't have to turn the heater on all the time and you saving energy.
Don't forget to have baby monitor. The best thing about baby monitor is that you will be able to hear your baby no matter which room you are in or what time it is. This is a very useful tool to have. Your sleeping time gets destroys when the new baby is born because you might have to wake at 2 or 3 or 4 am in the morning. Sometimes you get so tired that you won't hear anything but with the baby monitor the sounds get big in you and I am sure you won't be able to sleep through that.
Don't forget to get some soft toys for your baby to play with. Surround the cot with soft toys so that when the baby moves, she/he won't get hurt by accidently running into the frame of the cot.
Humidificadores are undoubtedly important to have in a baby's room so make sure you have it installed. Me and wife decided to install steam humidifier in our baby's room and the baby is still 10 weeks away.
a whole house humidifier, can you use this while your using your a/c, very dry air in house with a/c?
can you use a whole house humidifier during the summer while your still using the a/c --humidify is low, any suggestions, 2 month old house w/ whole house humidifier installed, hvac people left a note to turn the humidifier off after summer?
Low humidity in your home is a good thing in the summer. The lower it is, the more evaporation you will have off your skin, making you feel cooler than the temperature of the air around you would otherwise make you feel. It requires energy to evaporate water. 2500 joules/gram, so the more water evaporates off of you, the cooler you will feel, which is why fans make you feel cooler, even though they only blow ambient temperature air at you. The moving air also causes water to evaporate more quickly. That means dry air in the house will save you money, because it will make you feel cooler.
When your air conditioning works, it removes the moisture from the air through a process called condensation. Condensation is just the opposite of evaporation, both with respect to water as with the energy. So, in that case, your air conditioner has to remove that same 2500 joules/gram of energy from the air before the air can actually be cooled. Removing that additional energy makes your air conditioner work harder and longer, costing you more in your energy bill. So, putting water into your air through a humidifier will cost you more money in the summer months, and be totally counter productive.
You always add humidity to the air through breathing, bathing, cooking, etc. It really does not make any sense to add more water to the air if you are trying to air condition your home, since you will have to take it out again to cool it.
