I have a Powermate Generator Model PM0525312.18. For some very odd reason the rotor wire keeps breaking at the solder connection. I have repaired it myself once and had an industrial high voltage crew at the factory I work at repair it once.
The repairs were done with high temp silver solder and shrink tubing was applied.
Any thoughts as to what might be causing this.
Also, it has been a while since I last had it apart and can't remeber how to remove the stator. I have removed the 4 bolts and isolator/anchor at the bottom and still can not seperate.

There will be (or was and is broken now) some sort of mechanical connection that is soldered after installation for wear - but not as the primary mechanical bond. I expect there was a fitting/connector there at some point that broke and was soldered back in place rather than replaced.
The forces on the rotor are massive such that any simple solder joint would fail quickly.
