3 Most Important Things To Check When Leasing a Van
More people than ever are choosing to lease vans, both privately and commercially. During this current economic climate there are less people buying vans outright and more using third party companies to lease from. Whilst this is a very sensible option, there have been a number of reports of people getting stung by these companies by being charged for damage to the vans that they were not responsible for. The obvious way to avoid this to give the van a good going over first, but which are the vital things to look out for?
Body work. Have a good look around the body work both inside and out before van leasing. Scratches, marks, holes etc are all things that are common and should be looked out for. Really anything that you can be accused of causing down the line. Take a photograph of any damage that you might spot and submit a list of all items to the leasing company before you drive the van away.
Suspension. This can be very expensive to fix if it goes wrong so test it well first. To test the rear suspension pull down on each of the rear corners. When rocking the van the suspension should be smooth and quiet. If you feel any obstruction or the suspension makes a unsettling noise, ask for it to be check out before you take the van away. You should also do the same for the front suspension and test it extensively if you are Citroen van leasing as these vans often use hydraulic suspension which is even more expensive to put right
Engine. Its not that easy to know what to look out for with engines if you haven't tested one before. Getting the engine running for a start and get the revs high. Warning signs include lots of smoke, interrupted firing, loud noises or loss of power to name but a few. If in any doubt take someone along who knows a bit or go for Ford van leasing as these vans are the most reliable.
Whats the quietest exhaust for 2006 Honda Civic Si?
I know they're supposed to be loud but shit if im speeding i dont wanna get caught jus cuz they can hear the exhaust
i guess probibly an OEM stock exhaust with a damper or a silencer...
that's why i don't want a loud exhaust lol.. i like to be stealthy
Think of Yourself In The Third Person (WorldOfPsychology)
I remember reading somewhere that writer Anne Lamott thinks about herself in
the third person, to take better care of herself: “I’m sorry, Anne Lamott
can’t accept that invitation to speak; she’s finishing a book so needs to keep
her schedule clear.” I find that often, the same trick helps me to be
realistic about [...]
