How to Increase the Number of Fish You Catch
Have you ever gone on a fishing vacation and returned with NO fish? I'm sure that if you have been fishing for any length of time, you've experienced this at one time or another. A lot of fisherman and boating enthusiasts use great GPS technologies that are available on the market today. Let's cover some of the many benefits to utilizing such a system to increase the amount of fish that you are bringing home. An example of one of the more advanced fishfinder systems, would be the Humminbird 1197c SI Combo unit.
Some of the features and great benefits of using a fishfinder system include:
1. Chartplotting GPS system
This allows you to chart your course in the sea and easily monitor where you are going and where you have come from. There are several bonus features in most units that include mapping aspects and marking features.
2. Side Imaging Capability
This gives clear images of the fish around your boat, most often to a span of 400+ feet on either side.
3. Different Beam Views
A wide beam allows for a broad focus that gives you great coverage of the the fish and bait fish that are nearby. The narrow view allows you to see any fish that are staying near the bottom of the water.
4. Advanced Sonar Technology
The awesome advanced technology utilized in a unit such as the Humminbird 1197c model, allows for a clear competitive advantage over those anglers that are not using such an extensive system.
5. Take Screen Pictures and Sonar Recordings
This allows you to save certain information that you can then go back to time and time again as necessary.
6. Important Fish ID Capability
The whole point of using a fishfinder unit such as this, is to be able to locate the fish you want to catch. This ID function marks the fish with an icon on the screen. The icon varies in color and size allowing you to easily monitor the depth and location of the fish around you.
7. Split Screen Zoom Mode
This allows you to see and distinguish information that is very close together helping to clarify information that you may be picking up while in the other modes.
8. Special Truearch Technology
The Humminbird 1197c SI unit has a special advanced mode that helps locate fish by eliminating all of the noise and distraction of everything the unit picks up that does not appear to be the targeted fish. This helps in the accuracy and ability to pinpoint the location, depth and size of the fish targets.
9. Images are updated on your screen in real time.
Real time imaging does away with the inaccuracy found with systems that may have a lag time. This is critical while fishing for obvious reasons.
10. Most units would also include a circular flasher view mode as well as a sonar zoom view that increases the resolution.
We hope that this article gives you an idea of several of the advantages and benefits to investing in such a fishfinder unit. Any fisherman would greatly benefit and appreciate this as a part of their winning strategy for catching loads of fish.
Expert advice on these stereo system combo?
I am thinking of getting
1. Tannoy Mercury f4 or f3 standing speakers
2. cambridge CD players and integrated amps...not sure on the model though but cd player is 24 bits with upsampling and the amp has <0.05% THD..
please advice if this products can be a good combo for home stereo system
Generally, you have a good selection. You might want to upgrade the Tannoys to a higher series or go to a different manufacturer, but they aren't bad. Cambridge makes some decent CDPs, but I am not familiar with their amplifiers. If I was going for amplifiers without spending too lavishly (which is up to debate), then I would go towards NAD, Rotel, Classe, B&K, and Marantz. Their older stuff isn't bad and can be had at a fraction of the cost of the new stuff.
